By Rene Brnehu-
You ma), recall in a
past article that the
Branch had re -organized
our sick and visiting
committee. It consisted•
of Chairman John Semple
with members John
Deeves, George Rumball,
and Harvey Hayter. Our
newly formed committee
has been kept quite busy
this past summer with
many of our comrades
being hospitalized;
Just to bring you up to
date, our Sick Comrades
Board indicates that in
hospital we have Joe
Silcocks of Westmioster,
Hub Reynolds of Victoria,
fiord Scribbons and Bill
Mutch in Clinton.
Recuperating at home
are Jim Armstrong,
Hector Kingswell, Don
Smith, Bob Dalrymple,
and Williard Cotton.
Should any of our
Comrades, 'or oir Clinton
area peopl , wish to visit
or send
ae;
c ds, I feel sure
that preciation would
be uppermost in the
minds of the recipients.
We thank our sick and
visiting committee for
being so observant at the
task of visiting our -
Comrades and keeping us
informed of their welfare.
Comrade Eric Switzer
and his bingo team. were
kept busy last Thursday
, evening as they hosted
103 bingo players. The
first share -the -wealth of
$60 was split between
Dave Jewitt of Lucknow
and Dennett Pount of
Bayfield. The $61 second
share -the -wealth went to
May Parley ., of St.
Catharines. The third
share -the -wealth of $63.50

Congratulations to all
the winners, and many
thanks of appreciation to
our Bingo Team \ for
donating their timeand
effort. '
Our TGIF was again a
successful venture as
members and friends
dropped in for a social
sojourn. Winning the
TGIF Raffle Prize was
Comrade Blanche

The Huron County
Board of Education plans
to investigate ways
school officials can get
rid of unauthorized
persons in county
schools.
The board received a
memo from the ministry
of education at its August
session which dealt with
methods teachers and
prmeipals can use to cope
with persons on school
property uninvited. The
memo is attached to a
lengthy report on the
matter and the board,
rather than attempt to
.delve into the report, sent
it to its management
committee to look into
and come. up with
recommendations for
policy.
Director of education
John Cochrane told the
board the report could be
useful to school per-
sonnel. He said teachers'
here sometimes have
problems with people
coming in the schools and
misbehaving. He said
former students come
back to see a buddy or
someone comes in the
school to see a girlfriend
and the uninvited guests
give ter, rthers a hard
time.
Seaforth trustee John
Henderson, a member of
the management com-
mittee, ,did notagree that
the subject was one the
management committee
should be dealing with
