The recent penny sale
was a story of bad luck
followed by good luck for
visitors to Clinton. Mr.
and Mrs. T.R. Godson of
Staffordshire, , England
have been visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. George
Yeats here. While
shopping at the sidewalk
sale, Mr. Godson lost a
sum of money on Victoria
Street. The loss was
reported to the police who
had had the find already
reported to them. The
honest young lad was
David Stephen, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Douglas
Stephen of Winchelsea
near Kirkton. David's
grandfather is William
Stephen of Huronview.
David's honesty was.
rewarded by Mr. Godson.
Unfortunately, Mrs.
Godson was not as for-
tunate, while` holidaying
in New York City, she had
her wallet stolen while.
dining out.

The Clinton Public Library is a great place to visit for both bookworms and
avid bargain hunters. Until September 1 the library will `be holding their an-

a mere quarter. Here 10 year old Gwen Holland begins her search for a good
book to read. (News -Record photo)
