JEHOVAH'S
WITNESSES"
The deity of Christ is
seen in the following: in
isa., 10-21, and Jar., 32-
111, we see the title
MIGHTY GOD" is used,
and in these verses, no
doubt, refers to
Jehovah.
This some Hebrew title,
namely "EL GIBBOWR" is
also found in isa., 9-6,
but this time it refers to
Jesus.

Couple wed for 50 years
The secret to a long and
successful marriage is
give and take, say Ernie
and Vera Crich of Clin-
ton.
Mr. and Mrs. Crich
marked their golden
wedding anniversary on
Weddesday, June 27.
They celebrated Tuesday
evening with a special
dinner in Goderich and on
Sunday, June 24 an Open
House was held for
friends, neighbours and
relatives at Ontario
Street United Church
hall. Attending the open
house were Mr. and Mrs.
Crich's only' daughter,
Mrs. Orville Bean of Port
Colborne and their three
grandchildren.
Also attending were the
best man and the
bridesmaid of 50 years
ago, George Gould of
London (Mrs. Crich's
younger brother) and
Mrs. Dave McLeod of
Mitchell.
Mrs. Crich's two
sisters, Mrs. Irene Slater
from Portage La Prairie,
Manitoba and Mrs. Amy
'Cooper from Goderich,
both attended the open
house as well, and the
Crichs received a
telephone message from
a nephew in Calgary.
Other guests attended
from Hespler, Cobourg,
Brantford and London.
Mr. and Mrs. Crich
were married at the
Wesley Manse by the late
Reverend A.A. Homes on
June 27, 1929. There were
very few church wed-
dings in those days as
they recall, as most
couples were married in
the parsonage.
Mrs. Crich had been
born and raised in Clinton
and Mr. Crich had been
bdrn and raised in
Tuckersmith Township.
Following their
marriage, they moved to
the century -old Crich
homestead . and con-
ducted a mixed farming
operation on the 100 acres
there until retiring and

Moving to Ontario Street
in Clinton eight years
ago.
Besides give and take,
a good marriage involves
sharing fifty-fifty, say
Mr. and Mrs. Crich.
"It wasn't like today
when we got married. We
never thought of divorce.
Once you got married,
you stayed married. And
things got better as we
went along," said Mr.
Crich.
YOU
You may be plagued with guilt feelings. That may be
a good thing or a bad thing. The feeling of guilt for past
sin and failure may keep you from similar sin in the
future.
Guilt feeling is a terrible thing if it is not faced and
the guilt removed so the feeling may be relieved. God
has a way of removing guilt for sin through sub-
stitution. Another person takes that sin as his own and
bears the punishment for it. That was why Christ died.
"He was wounded for our transgressions." Isaiah 53:5.
When we take God at His word and trust Him as our
Saviour and Substitute, our sins are gone forever. Read
Hebrews 10:12.
When a person has received forgiveness for his sins
he does not need, to have any guilt feelings. After a
person has been forgiven and sins again he should con-
fess that sin to God and accept God's forgiveness for
that sin. Read ijohn 1:9.
When God has forgiven a sin, and He promises He will
forgive it if we confess it, we need not continue to have
guilt feelings about that sin. if we have wronged
someone we should confess that sin to that person and
do all we can to repay that person for the wrong we did
him.
Your life will not be perfect, it can be happy and
rewarding.
