Payne 11111.111 (c • Mrs. Laird Mickle spent a few days recently in Waterloo visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs, Ross MacMillan and family, and while there, attended the reception and dinner on Sunday held at the home in honodr of Mr. and Mrs. MacMillan's parents, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Payne on Saturday were Miss Muriel Hayman of Surrey, England, Mr. and Mrs.' Glen Payne of Elmira, Mr. and Mrs. Claire Payne of St. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Berdan of Union, Mrs. John Alexander, and Joan, and Ross, Miss' Cathy Sim of Kippen, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Payne of London and Rev. With the sunlight filtering through, it was a fitting moment for the service 9f Dedication led by their minister, Rev. Stan C. McDonald on Sunday morning. Windows were dedicated in memory of Lisa Darlene Merritt (by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Payne), G. Mark Drysdale, W. Carl Passmore, Brian Harrison Alderdice, Ida B. Case Rowcliffe, Mr. and Mrs. John Rowcliffe, the late Albert Alexander and Mrs. Alexander, the late James McAllister and Mrs. McAllister, the late Alma Hess, Bill and Jean Smith and family, the Munn family, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Jones, Mr. David Brock, Mrs. Dorothy Mickle, Mr. and Mrs. Ian McAllister, the United Church Women and the Sunday School Students. The• service preceding the dedication was conducted by Rev. Stan C. McDonald, who told the children the story of the "Golden Windows" and preached on "The great cloud of wit- nesses". The choir sang Han- del's "Largo" and following the dedication, Mrs. Donna St. John sang, "Bless this house". Mrs. Marianne McCaf- frey led the choir and Dr. Ralph Topp was at the organ. All registrations for the vacation Bible School should be in this week ; it will be held July 2-6.
