ACW. The June meeting of the ACW was held Thursday evening June 14 at the home of Mrs. Lynda Steenstra. Audrey Middleton, leader of the month, opened the meeting by reading the Invocation. The scripture was read by Audrey Middleton and Mrs. Sarah Storey. A hymn was sung to Lois Wise's tape. Audrey said prayers. Audrey welcomed the ladies and two guestsand.. thanked Lynda for. opening her home to the meeting. Mrs. Shirley Storey read the secretary's report. Vera Miller presented the treasurer's report and a letter was read thanking the ladies for the two bales sent to the north. The social report was given by Blanche Deeves. Mrs. Lois Smith gave a report on the Foster Child in Haiti. Mrs. Broadfoot gave a short report on the spring deanery. Mrs. Sarah Storey introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. James Broadfoot of Clinton, who gave a very interesting talk on the Eucharist, setting of the altar for the Euchrist, family enrich - Eucharist, family enrich- ment, and love. following Mrs. Broad - foots talk. Lois Smith thanked Mrs. Broadfoot and presented her with a gift. A delicious lunch was served by the hostess assisted by Vera Miller. Personals Mr. and Mrs. De Viers of Exeter were guests on the weekend with Stewart Middleton. Get well wishes to Delores Dutot from the community.' The Clinton Lawn bowling greens saw another good week of bowling last week. On Tuesday, June 12, the clUb had 18 players out and nice weather. The Ladies' high went to Jean Gray and men's high to Bert Garrett. On Thursday evening, the weather was nice again and 24 bowlers turned out to that jitney. That night, the high lady was Myrtle Vodden from Blyth and second high lady was Della Slavin. High man went to Lonnie Mathews and second to Doug Ball of Bayfield.
