Uchi Ki San a nine
month old Japanese
spaniel from Whyte Villa
Kennels belonging to
Brenda and Tom Whyte
of R.R. 2, Seaforth won
first prize, best of breed
and best puppy of any
breed at the Dog Show in
Ajax on June 9 and 10.
This weekend at
Kingston he was suc-
cessful again winning
best of winners, best
puppy in breed and best
of breed. While in
Kingston the Whytes
. obtained a female Nippon
Ochaka San to add to
their kennels.

Court Constantine and
Court Fascination of
Benmiller held their
birthday party on
Monday evening June 11
at the hall.
There was a good
tirnout from both lodges
and they enjoyed a
supper of salads. The
evening was spent"" with
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Cooke
of Clinton who showed
slides on their trip and
safari in Africa.
We are pleased to
report that Sister Edith
Nott is out of the hospital
and we hope she will soon
be feeling much better.
Court Constance and
Constantine held their
annual Chicken Barbecue
on Thursday evening,
June 14 at the hall, bet-
ween 800 and 900 people
were fed this year.
Miss Janet Reynolds
and Mrs. Vi Armstrong of
Southfield, Michigan
came on Wednesday to
visit with Mr. and Mrs.
John Thompson, Sharon
and Bob, Mrs. Barry
Powley, Jason, Jonathan
and Mandy. Janet
remained while Mrs.
Armstrong visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Terence
Hunter of Colborne
Township till Saturday.

McClure attended the
wedding of Chris. Nesbitt
and Lynn Levy in St.
Marys on Friday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry
McKenzie of Hamilton
spent a few days visiting
with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh

David.

Waterloo visited over the
weekend with Mr. and

Budget set for
111 one million
The Wingham
Advance -Times reported
that the town council has
set a record budget for
1979.
The total spending
nears the $1 million
mark, which represents a
huge increase over the
budget set for last year
and almost double the
town spending in 1977.
