You have an incurable disease or you are blind or crippled. You believe in God but do not under- stand why you should suffer so much. The most important step in your quest for happiness is to learn to know God better. God is a God of wisdom as well as a God of love and allows us to suffer for our real good. We find a great example of this reason for suffering in the life of Job in the Bible. While you suffer God suffers with you. God does not watch people suffering and not care. He has proven His care and His love in giving His Son as the greatest Suf- ferer. He suffered more intensely than you ever do. He suffered all God's anger against sin and His punishment of the sinner in three hours of deepest suffering on the cross. "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities." Isaiah 53:5 God may use physical suffering to develop patience in you. Remember, character is so very Important and God Is developing our character. In the future life you will see the real purpose of the lessons God 1s teaching you in this life. There is so much we haven't said. Please write to us. Clinton Area Believers Box 546 Clinton Ont.
