Chronicle has come to be
and with it, my term as
editor, in this school year,
in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hun-
dred and seventy-nine.
I now sit in my office•
thinking over the past
year. What a year it was!
On a scale of 9 to 10, I say
it., rates 9.99 (there is
always ' room for im-
provement) . The club has
put out the weekly, five
issues of the monthly and
formed the first all
Ontario high school
newspaper conference.
The Chlonicle is now
famous, respected ---and ,,
one of the best high school
newspapers in Ontario. I
am glad I had the chance
to be editor
There are many people
to thank for the success of
this magnificent paper,
but considering I hate a
long.thank-you and good-
bye, I will make the list
short - Clinton News -
Record,, the
photographers and the
people of the Chronicle
staff.
One man who has to be
recognized by himself is
our staff advisor, Mr.
Ron Smith. He has a
great deal of insight and
can see both sides of the
question. There are few
people who could handle
the types of problems
arising in the Chronicle
like he does.

hours of preparation and

so check the date with

committee or the Legion
Employees.
Comrade Mary Brown
was once more in the
Legion news as she was
fortunate in winning the
first raffle prize at last
Friday's TGIF. John
Brownridge came up with
the second prize, we're
sure they'll both enjoy the
goodies they each
received. Mildred Carroll
was not so fortunate, as
her name was drawn for
the attendance draw, but
she had not registered, so
the amount grows and
will be up for grabs at this
Friday's TGIF. Just drop
in anytime during the
week and register.
Our Bingo last thur-
sday evening was again
well attended as bingo
captain Ed Porter and his
RR 5, team were on the
job.
The jackpot went to two
of our regular par-
ticipants, Vivian Knights
and May Steep who split
the $200 jackpot prize.
Still on bingo, did you
know that the Monster
Bingos are again in full
swing? Don't forget all
service clubs are com-
mitted to supply
assistance at these
bingos, so don't be shy,
volunteer. Did you also
know that Ed Porter has
put in over 15 years as
team captain of the RR 5
team.

To the townspeople, I
hope you have enjoyed
this page, an outlet of
student thoughts and
creativity. We really
appreciated the few
letters we received this
year. Next year, please
unite the paper and give
it your views. The
Chronicle would like to
know the parents and
townspeople's views.
But I ain't finished yet.
I myself shall return next
year to Grade 13 and'head
of business for `the
Chronicle. Be seeing you.

This is it. The last issue
of B.B. for this year. I
must say it has been quite
testing at times but ob-
viously survivable.
After school last
Friday, R.C.A.B. was
watched giving R.A.P. a
few of his amazing tips in
disco dancing. A few
more dips and dives R.A.
and you'll really be ready
to boogie down!
S.C. and E.P. were last
seen parading through
the streets of Clinton
latched on to a -man (or
hunk I should say)' arced
Harold. I hope you two
finally agreed on
something because
Harold didn't seem to be
able to hold on much
longer.
J. S. evidently had ,a
pretty wild time on the
weekend as he appeared
a little battered Monday
morning. Didn't you
know travelling through
dark woods can be
dangerous to your health
J?
Always in need of a
boost from time to time,
R. Mc got it in his time of
need from none other
than B.C. (or Buzz as he
is familiarly 'known).

to stop meeting in the
halls with your arms
wrapped around each
other! It could get around
you know_.
