Happenings
Trip to London
,On Thursday, April 19,
the Grade 7 class went to
London. In the morning
they visited Wolesley
Barracks. The students
ate lunch there and then
went to the London Free
Press Building. They had
a guided tour of the
buildings and learned a
great deal. Everyone
enjoyed this trip.
Visit to the Circus
On Friday, April 20, the
Grades 1 and 2 classes of
Hullett travelled by bus
to see the Shriner's
Circus in the Kitchener
Memorial Hall. The
pupils were asked to
bring $2.50 admission.
The trip was enjoyed by
4J4 they teachers and
pupils that went.
Animal Care
On April 18, Grades 2
and 3 had a visitor named
Dr. Nuham. Dr. Nuham
talked to the students
about dogs and cats. He
also showed them a
siamese pig, pickled in a
jar. The students were
very amazed and enjoyed
the visit.

A survey attempting to
evaluate the recreation
needs and uses in
Seaforth has received
little comment.
The Huron Expositor
reported that the survey,
planned by the town's rec
committee, has been
dropped because it didn't
get much participation
from the local citizens.
"Either enough
recreation is going on in
town or there's a lot of
apathy towards it,"
Seaforth Mayor John
Sinnamon explained after
council heard the results
• of the survey.
It was noted that
although forms were
placed in the high school,
not one student picked
them up or filled them in.
"Maybe they were
directed at the wrong
people. School kids
already have lots of
activities," Councillor
Bob Dinsmore suggested.

of Goc'^rich has an of-
ficial F dary Plan and
whereas the land
referred to in by-law
number 1, 1979 is covered
by this plan and whereas
the by-law is in con-
formity with .the Official
Plan, because the land is
designated 'seasonal
residential', we hereby
certify that the land was
so designated when the
by-law was passed."
Six objections were
received in response to
this by-law. They were
from Seven Wheels,
Goerge S. Land, Beverley
Cooley, George Toy,
Gerald Nyenhuis and
Susan Nyenhuis and each
one was dealt with by
council. A motion was
then passed by council
stating that it did not
agree with the objections
as it believed the by-law
to be legal.
Council then adjourned
to April 16 at 8 p.m.
