speaking on the subject
The Resurrection and
Love's Reward. The
Junior Choir and the
Senior choir sang Mrs. R.
Tuckersmith UCWmeet
by Mrs. H. F. Berry
The meeting of the
Tuckersmith Unit I of the
Brucefield UCW was held
on April 9. Miss Jean
McEwan and Mrs. Ann
Broadfoot led in the
devotions, in the absence
of Mrs. Edna Paterson.
Mrs. Broadfoot also
played the piano in ab-
sence of Mrs. Ross Scott.
Miss McEwan opened
the meeting with a poem.
This was followed by a
song and prayer. Mrs.
Broadfoot then gave an
Easter reading and the
offering was received and
dedicated.
Mrs. Broadfoot spoke
on her trip to Germany
where she visited in 1930.
She showed many in-
teresting pictures.
After the devotions,
Mrs. Broadfoot chaired
the business portion of
the meeting and thanked
the ladies in charge.
Twenty members and
three visitors answered
the roll call with a
favorite game.
The May meeting will
be charged by Mrs.
Broadfoot and Mrs. M.
Walters. The roll call will
ask members to name a
famous mother.
The June bus trip was
discussed and more in-
formation will be
available at the May
meeting. A plant auction
will also take place at the
meeting and everyone is
invited to attend.
Miss McEwan and Mrs.

visits Clinton group
The Huronic Rebekah
Lodge 3 and 6 opened
their meeting with all
officers wearing their
long white dresses and
'District -Deputy Pres.
Kathleen Cuthill, along
with the Seaforth
members, was given -""'a
special welcome.
Words of
congratulations were
given to Sister Jean
Henderson for being
named as the new
District -Deputy
President for 1980. All
officers promised to
stand behind her in her
new office.
Final plans were made
for the dessert euchre to
be held in May.
Members were also
reminded of the Speical
Church Service to be held
in Wesley -Willis Church
on May 6.
Twenty -Five Dollars
was donated to the
Leukemia Fund.
After the closing of
Lodge, the District -
Deputy Pres. Kathleen
Cuthill gave a very in-
teresting talk on the
Rebekah Regalia. She
explained the meaning of
each officer's jewel that
they wear and also em-
phasized the importance
of the jewel that is worn
by the ordinary member.
This proved very in-
teresting as the Lodge
has just recently pur-
chased and dedicated
new regalia. The District
Deputy closed with a very
fitting poem.
A bounteous lunch was
served by Sister Jean
Henderson and Sister
Mike Broadfoot's group.
