Do you get ''down in the dumps" during a period of rainy, dreary weather and suddenly begin to feel better when the sun peeks out from behind the clouds? Pathetic faillacy is an English term used when a person's mood is in agreement with the weather. Of course, naturally happy people don't let the weather affect them and always smile no matter what! If you're the type who, on a rainy day, would rather roll over and go back to sleep than get up and race to school, you're definitely affected by the weather. On the other hand, you react positively too - on a warm sunny afternoon, you're likely to be in a fantastic mood just because the weather is nice. 27. In memoriam BLAKE In loving memory of a dear husband, father and gran- dfather Orval Blake who passed away four years ago, April 3, 1975: Beautiful memories, silently kept Of a wonderful husband and father we'll never forget, Every day in some small way Memories of you come our way, Life goes. on, we know that's true - But it's not the same, since we lost you. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by wife Iona and family. -14x Since the weather often influences your moods, your school work, in turn is affected. On dreary days, if you're in tune with the weather, you're likely feeling depressed. When you're in this type of mood, you're in no mood to _ learn!! You couldn't care less who won the War of the Roses, or that a base turns pink when phenolphthalein ii added, or whether a declarative sentence is the same as an assertive sentence or whether a four-leaved rose is symmetrical about the polar axis or...You just don't care!! Teachers too, seem bothered by the weather. If your teacher on a Friday afternoon, looks out the window to have a desolate, gloomy scene confront him when he was hoping to go golfing after school, he might seem a little irritable. He also night decide to give some extra homework 30. In memoriam DALE In loving memory of a dear father, Carman, who passed away one year ago, April 10, 1978: One year ago we had to part, With a Dad we loved with all our hearts, You slipped away without a goodbye, But memories of you will never die, We miss you Dad and always will, You left a place no one can fill, There are other Dads in this world we know, But you were ours and we loved you so, As long as we live, we will always be glad, That out of this world you were our Dad. Sadly missed and always loved by daughters Donna, Brenda and Joan and sons Duce and Daren. -14x DALE In loving memory of my dear husband, Carman who passed away one year ago, April 10, 1978: There is a gift in life you cannot buy That is very rare and true, It's the gift of a wonderful husband, Like the one I had in you, The many things you did for me, In your kind and loving way, You gave me years of happiness, No one can take away. A million times I needed you, A million times I cried, If love could have saved you, You never would have died. Those who have a husband, Cherish him with care, For you'll never know the heartache, Till you see his empty chair. Too dearly loved to ever be forgotten by his wife, June Dale. -14x just to take out his frustrations on someone - namely you, the innocent bystander. When it's beautiful outside, you're likely feeling great. You're more likely to learn something if you're happy although there are exceptions to every rule. Even though you are in a good mood, you still might not be in a learning mood. Since it's so nice outside, you're likely wishing you could be out there to enjoy°the warm air and sunshine. This, unfortunately, doesn't promote the_ learning process. How can you learn about Newton's third law if you are staring out the window, daydreaming? Oh well, at least you're in a good mood! Teachers enjoy the nice weather too. They're just as eager to be out and enjoy the sunshine as we students are. Sometimes they are in such great moods . that they even 31.
