St. Andrew's UCW
president Jean Dunn last
month erroneously
reported in their church
bulletin that the Hobo
Teas, a small fund-
raising project of the
UCW would be held the
last week in March and
the first week in April.
Rather it should have
read, the last week in
April and the first week in
May.
But not to disappoint
Jean, who had jumped
the gun by one month,
two carloads of women
showed up at her door
and surprised her for tea
last Wednesday.

The Ever Young Club
held their regular
meeting last Thursday in

ston.
In the absence of the
secretary Fern Baker
read the past minutes and
roll call and Dorothy Cox
gave the treasurer's
report. Harry Baker gave
• a resume of the past work
done on the Old Town
Hall. Clara Johnston and
Esther Makins showed a
beautiful crib quilt just
finished by the quilters.
Plans were made for
a bus trip to Oquaga
Lake, New York State on
June 1st. All present
reported a good social
time together.

eh?

Congratulations to Lori
Consitt, who has passed
her figure skating tests in
Ten Foxtrot.
In reference to last
week's news about our
new minister, credit
should be given to
everyone who°worked on
the pastoral relations
committee, as there were
a number of meetings
requiring a considerable
amount of time.
Elmer Hayter, Anson
McKinley and Charles
Reid were nominated in
December to find pulpit
supply to the end of June.
Others added to this
group were Marjorie
Hayter, Ivan McClymont
and Eleanor McAsh.
Howard Armstrong took
Anson's place while he
was on vacation.
Contrary to one of the
headlines, Rev. Brown is
not the first woman to
serve on this charge, as
Rev. Reba Hurn was here
for about ten years prior
to leaving in 1951.

about that.)
