Foundation
gets $50, 000
It was touch and go for
a while, but the Goderich
Performing Arts
Foundation has leapt
over its first financial
hurdle.
The Goderich Signal -
Star reported that within
five weeks, $50,000 has
been raised, through the
support of private in-
dividuals, the Sully
Foundation and • the
Charles Ivey Foundation
of Toronto. The money
was needed to make the
downpayment on the
former Polley's Livery
Stable, its lot and ad-
ioining lot.
This was a great ex-
perience for the children
doing something to help
others and they loved it.
Thanks goes out to the
Sunday School teachers
and mothers who
provided rides and
guidance.
