John, along with other able helpers, cooked hundreds of pancakes, plain and with raisins and some 150 pounds of sausages for hungry mobs. It was decided to purchase a trophy to be given to a Grade VIII student from Hullett Central School who is proficient in English and a donation is to be sent to the Red Cross. A„ letter on a food preser- vation workshop to' be held at the ministry of agriculture and food was read and several members expressed their desire to attend. The needlepoint classes were well attended and all involved are busy working on some article for summary day which will be held at Huron Central Secondary school oh May 24 from 8-10 p.m. Alli Westerhout won the raffle, and the next meeting will be held on April 11 at the home of Gladys Van Egmond. Those on lunch arid program are Gladys Van Egmond, Hazel Watkins and Alli Westerhout. The roll call will be answered for a housecleaning hint. Gladys Van Egmond extended an invitation for all to attend the old time dance at the Orange hall on April 14. Proceeds for the Van Egmond Foundation Helen Lyons had -a guess the ad- vertisement contest, which was won by Donna Gibbings and Gladys Van Egmond. Jean Vodden passed around a mystery package the contents of which were guessed by Margaret Good. A travelling package contest was' given by Phyllis Tyndall and Isabel Stewart, Laura Forbes and Mary Van Den Elzen won the prizes.
