GOOD CHICKEN! 1 r Clinton arena floor fund gets X1,400. boost The Clinton Kinsmen will be giving about $1,400 to the . arena floor fund, thanks to a very suc- cessful Las Vegas night at the Clinton arena last Saturday. About 300 ladies and gentlemen packed the auditorium to pay games of chance using play money, and to bid on over $1,000 worth of mer- chandise donated by Clinton and area mer- chants. The Las Vegas night is a left -over from the now defunct Winter Carnival, but it and Hospitality night two weeks ago were both big successes. Kinsmen organizers Tom Craig and John Kassies said they were extremely pleased with the support shown the event by area citizens and businessmen. Prizes auctioned off by auctioneer Richard Lobb, who donated his services, included: Haugh Tire, front end alignment; Paul's BP, oil change and lube job; Clinton Chrysler, four T-shirts; Kingswell Welding, 'fire extinguisher; Home Hardware, Radio Shack, French teacher Terry Pullen seems a little hesitant about trying the pancakes made by the students at St. Joe's, but members of the kindergarten class can hardly wait to see what he thinks of "les crepes".
