Legion activities hurt by weather By Rene Brochu Once again during the past week, Legion fun- ctions were hampered by the weather conditions, but men's euchre went off as usual with 13 tables in action, however, the results were not available for publication. The Bingo was again can- celled at noon Thursday when the snow conditions were bad and more snow was forecast for the evening. However, the dart league was active Thursday evening, and winning the pairs event was Doug Mclsaac and Rosemary Armstrong. The men's high score went to Jack Spearin with a whopping 140 and the ladies' high score went to Brenda Atkinson with an impressive 138. Again in darts, our club teams represented our Branch at the Huron County Dart League meet in the Exeter Legion last Saturday afternoon, with both A and B teams coming up with seven wins and five losses. According to Comrade Terry Hollingshead, our Dart Chairman, the Clinton Legion is doing extremely well for its first year in the league for quite some time. The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by our group of representatives. The zone bowling in Seaforth proved to be another eventful day•for our Branch as our six representatives won the day's event by one pin over the Exeter •Legion. Our sixsome, made up of Comrades Brian Reeves, Gary Black, Glen Carter, Don Armstrong, Bill Harris, and Len Arnston, received the president's congratulations. They now go on to the District VANASTRA CENTRE RECREATION SWIM TIMES Mon. to Fri. Tues. 8. Wed. Sunday Monday Tues. 8. Wed.
