The sermon was "In the beginning what?" Edward Deeves and Don Middleton received the offering. Rev. George Youmatoff of Bayfield was in charge of the service. ACW meet The February meeting of the ACW of St. James Middleton was held at the home of Mrs. Ray Wise with Mrs. Lynda Steenstra in charge of the meeting. Lynda welcomed the ladies and thanked Estelle for opening her home for the meeting. Mrs. Lois Smith read "the legend of Valentine" and the scripture, while Lynda led in prayer. Mrs. Audrey Middleton read the secretary's report in the absence of Shirley Storey and Estelle Wise presented the treasurer's report. Audrey reported on supply re quilts to be done and Blanche Deeves gave the social report. Audrey Middleton gave a report on a study book and Blanche Deeves gave a report on the trip to the ice capades. Estelle Wise reported on the trip to the Grand Ole Oprey and correspondence was read by Audrey. Lynda Steenstra read a poem on the Child Appeal and spoke on The Year Of the Child. The meeting was closed with a reading "I believe in Children". Lunch was served by the hostess and a social time was enjoyed. The Club elected president Gerda Brand; vice president, Denise Brand; secretary, Darlene Smith; treasurer, Ann Brand; Press reporter, Allison Postill. The members of Holmesville II are: Ann Brand, Denise Brand, Gerda Brand, Jean Brand, Marie Brand, Irene Heykoop, Nancy Heykoop, Allison Postill and Darlene Smith. The next meeting will be held February 19 at the home of leader, Mrs. C. Brand. 4-H news • On February 7 the second 4-H meeting took place at Lexi Murches. That night we played a game and picked a name for the club. Our club name is Accessory Angles. We were told how to make a rain hat. Next week we are to take our material that we are making our accessory with. Also near the end of the meeting we were asked what we are making.
