The Bible clearly teachesthat God created man
(Genesis 1: 2-25, John 1:3,;CoI. 1:16 etc.)
The Bible is clear that man did not evolve through
natural processes, mutations, and etc. Though the'
Bible leaves room for variations within species, it
clearly states that God created animals "after their
kind". Genesis 1:21, 24, 25.
In contrast with animals, man was made in the
image andiikeness of God. Genesis 1:26, 27. Man.in his
present human form was created by God as the con-
clusion and consumation of all creation. God breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life. These distinctions
classify man above all other forms of life on earth and
indicate that man is a moral creature with intellect,
capacity for feeling and a will.
While the soul and spirit of man are represented as
continuing forever, the body returns to the dust from
which it was formed, and the spirit goes to God who
gave it (Ecclesiastes 12:7) Accordingly people can kill
the body but not the soul. Matthew 10:28
