T. Garnett Husser - officiating, The title of the sermon was Wishing you a Happy New Year. Music during the service consisted of the anthem, .with the congregation.. joining in for the last chorus. The organ and piano were officiated at by Dr. Ralph Topp,.jAnd the choir led by Mrs. -Marianne McCaf- frey. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Andy Bierling, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Frayne, all of Exeter and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Pertfchy, Crediton visited with Mr. and Mrs. John McAllister and Faye on New Year's Eve. Miss Margaret Hyde of London has veen visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hyde during the school break. Mr. and Mrs. Randy Mason and Andrew of London visited with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Skea New Year's Eve. Mrs. Rachael Sch- walm, Mrs. Elizabeth Volland and Mrs. Daisy Ivey all had many visitors during the holiday week, including Mr. and Mrs. Bob French and Roy of Rousseau, Mr. and Mrs. Don Coughlin, Debby and Paul of Fordwich, Mr. and Mrs_ Bruce Vollarrd—And Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Volland and children all of Goderich, Mr. and Mrs. Desmond Ivey of Sarnia, Mr. and Mrs. Art Coombs of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnston and Jack from Brucefield and Mr. and,. Hockey news Hensall Juveniles continued Their winning streak Friday night by defeating Blyth 6-3: Blyth opened the scoring in the first period with a power playgoal. Grant Love had a big game scoring four points. His first goal on an assist from Steve Grainger tied the game. Blyth came back strong with two goals in two minutes to get ahead 3-1, but the hard hitting Hensall team scored five straight goals. Near the end of the first period Paul Bell scored, assisted by Brian Baker. There was onTY-' one goal in the second period, coming from Steve ,Gy„ainger, assisted by Love and Ron May. In the third period, Love scored his second goal of the game assisted by Danny Taylor. Love got his fourth point on an assist on Brian Baker's goal. With only 12 seconds left' in the game Bobby Mommersteeg made an end to end rush and scored an unassisted goal to end the game at 6-.3. . Hensall travels, to Kurtsville, Wednesday night and Kurtsville returns to play in Hensall on Friday, January 5.
