drawing of prizes commenced, and the
contest between Miss Mitchell of the

the prizes the tickets were duplicated,
the duplicates being mixed and put
into a large vessel, from which a hand-
some young lady selected for the put

having a ticket corresponding with the

Huron Presbytery.
The Presbytery of Huron met in Caveu
Presbyterian church Exeter,. on Tuesday,
13th inst. There was at large attendance of
both laymen and ministers. The moderator,
Rev. Mr. McDonald, of Seaforth, in the
chair. The Rev. 31r. Thompson, cn' the
ground of ill health, gave in his .resignation
of, the pastorate charge of Hensel] and Chis-
elhurst. It was agreed to ask the congre-
gations to appear before the next meeting
of the Presbytery, when the resignation will
be disposed of. The committee appointed
tat last ]meeting of Presbytery to consider
the separation of Hensel]. and, Chiselhurst as
a pastoral charge ieported that nothing
could' be done, in the meantime on account
of the resignation of their minister, but that
they were considering several possible con-
nections for Chiselhurst in the event of sep-
