KAY
In loving memory of a dear
Father, Don Kay, who
passed away two years ago
December 15, 1976:
If we had one lifetime wish,
One dream that could come
true,
We'd pray to God with all our
hearts,
For yesterday and you.
If teardrops were a stair-
way,
And memories were a lane,
We'd walk all the way to
Heaven, Dad,
And bring you home again.
A thousand times we've
needed you,
A thousand times we've
cried,
If our love could have saved
you,
You never would have died.
For years we were a family,
You kept closely linked
together
Now hands that made the
home,
Are the hands that rest
forever.
Sadly missed but our love
and fond memories are
never forgotten. The Kay

foundation also hopes to
raise $40,000 through a
fund . drive from
descendants of the Van
Egmond family, business
firms and Foundations.
Bert Hinton of Acton
started the drive with a
pledge of $5,000 in
memory of his late wife,
Mary Jackson, a great -
great -granddaughter of
Col Van Egmond. This
money will be spent on
fitting out one of the large
upstair rooms and using
it as the Van Egmond
'Room. where artifacts
and furniture used by the
Van Egmond family
founders will be
displayed.
A master plan for
reconstruction prepared
by the Goderich architect
firm of Hill-Borgall has
been approved by the
province, reported Paul
Carroll, vice-chairman of
the Foundation. "All the
red tape is cut."
The second phase will
be the replacing of inside
services such as plum-
bing, electricity and
heating system.
The third phase will be
the finishing of the rooms
and completion of
displays. It is hoped this
will be finished in two
years.
In the plans for a later
time is the construction of
a carriage house.
