The Listowel ,Banner

being seriously . con-
sidered as host com-
munity for the March 15
Wintario draw.
A team of technicians is
expected to arrive soon to
assess the town's
suitability for telecom-
munication. In addition to
transmission
requirements, the
Wintario representatives -
will be inspecting local
facilities such as the
arena, and the high
school auditorium. The
seating capacity is
estimated to be ap-
proximately 1,200 in
either of these locations.
The draw would be held
in conjunction with
ListoweI's second annual
Paddvfest celebrations.
VENETIAN
.BLINDS
by Carolyn orter
our on -staff interior
design consultant.
Venetian blinds aro
available in colours and
should blend with tho
walls. A contrasting
colour draws too much
attention. The blind
that is strung with nylon
thread instead of the
alta& flat tape Is easily
washed.
Horizontal - slat blinds
are better^than vertical
-, slat blinds which are
better suited to offices.
You niay like to use
venetian blinds on your
picture window that
frames ' an unsightly
*low. If you are airing
•vtrapar1es with o valbn-
co, tho fop of the blind 1s
well hidden.
