TRUTH
The Holy Spirit is resident in the Church. The Church '
is not a particular section of professing Christendom,,
but is composed of all true believers in Christ.
The Holy Spirit is also active in the formation of tti
Church. One can only become a member of that Church
by regeneration. See Titus 3:5. All three persons of the
Trinity are involved in the regeneration of the believer;.,
The Father is involved: James 1:17,18. Jesus Christ is
involved: John 5:21. The Holy Spirit is also involved as''
seen in John 3:3-7. A parallel is seen in the birth of
Christ. God became His Father, the life of Son was' in'
Christ and yet He was conceived of the Holy Spirit: ,See .
Matthew 1:20.
It is through regeneration that a believer has eternal
life. Jesus said to Nicodemus, "Ye must be barn
again" and later in the chapter said, "whosoever
believeth in Him (the Son) should not perish but have,
everlasting life. (John 3:16)
A person is regenerated, born again, receives eternal
life through trusting Christ as Saviour.
