Police officer speaks
.On Monday, November
1a Police Officer Mery
'Vetter came to our school
and talked to grades 4 - 8
on the subject of human
rights.
,Fie discussed the im-
portance of having
respect for others and
respect for property, the
vulgarity of swearing and
other things dealing with
the topic of human rights.
Everyone learned a great
deal from his talk.
School band
On Tuesday, November
14, the school band held
an open practice, so
parents could hear how
the band sounded. Band
report cards were also
handed out by Mrs.
Johnstone.
On Wednesday,
November 15 the school
band went to Blyth to
listen to "Canadian
Brass". They left the
school at 12:30 and
returned to .the school at
2:20p.m.
The school band held a
skate -a -thou on Friday,
November 17 from 9: to 6
p.n}. Hot chocolate was
supplied by Mrs.
Bosman, a member of the
band
The money raised will
be going towards buying
music stands and in-
struments.

and returned back to the
church hall for supper
