Mr. John Gibson, Wroxeter, was a recent - visitor with Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Mellis. Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Mellis and Mrs. M. Barnard called to extend congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. John McGee, Blyth on the occasion of their 50th Wedding an- niversary. Mrs. Hugh Alderdice, Meaford, is visiting with relatives in the area. UCW meets Kippen UCW held their regular meeting on Thursday, November 16. Mrs. Robert Kinsman gave the worship. Mrs. Gerald Moffatt assisted by Mrs. Lloyd Cooper presented a skit on The Lords Prayer. Mrs. Edison McLean brought in. the report of the nominating com- mittee, and Mrs. Bert Faber reported on the success of the supper. The Sunday School skating party will be held November 29. Hostesses for the meeting were Mrs. Tom Reid and Mrs. Wm.. C nsitt, who also served lunch . Womens Institute Kippen East Women's Institute and their friends enjoyed a trip to Western Canada with the beef producers when Stan Paquette showed his pictures in . Hensall Legion ' Hall November 15. He was introduced by the Pres. Mrs. Dave Triebner and thanked by Mrs. Campbell Eyre. -Mrs. Triebner gave a Remembrance Day reading and a resume of the area convention held in London. Lunch was served by the hostess Mrs. Stewart Pepper and the committee in charge. Mr. and Mrs.Tom Reid of Kippen have just returned home from a weekend at Stouffville, Ontario. While there they stayed • with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Hughes, who arranged a 40th anniversary dinner - dance for the whole family at The Doctor's House and Livery in Kleinburg on Saturday evening, November 18. Firm moving The Exeter Times- Advdcate reported that Agri -Book Publishing Co. have announced that the firm will be moved from Hensall to Exeter. The business will be located in the former JF Farm Machinery Co. President Adrian Bailey explained to The Times Advocate that in its present quarters, the firm in "busting at the seams." Seventeen staff members will be involved in the move, however the change does not 'involve any of the personnel who are located in the former Hensall Co-op buildings. Agri -Book Publishing produces approximately 25 agricultural publications with distribution across North America and Europe. Their largest publication is "Beans in Canada" which is distributed free to 17,,000 bean growers in Canada. "Farm Drainage Quarterly" has a circulation of 9,500 in Canada. The firm is one of the major publishers in the agricultural industry in Canada. It does all its ow>n typesetting and production and the printing Is farmed out to Mims in Kitchener and Owen Sound.
