Most of us in the human
race have a basic desire
to bury our yesterdays
and get on with our
todays. No place is this
more in evidence than in
postal relations. We can
only quote our editor's
remarks of last week "in
fact we enjoy excellent
service from the Clinton
guys and gals" - and
again, "in fact the local
crew lead gone out of their
way to help us."
+++
Many residents of the
area will not be called
upon to vote in the for-
thcoming municipal
elections since the
majority of political seats
have been filled by ac-
clamation.
For the remaining
ones, who will be casting
ballots, there is a very
apt quotation by
Abraham Lincoln
regarding politics:
"It is the people's
business. The election is
in their hands. If they
turn their backs I to the
fire and get scorched in
the rear, they'll find they
have got to sit on the
blister."
In short if you are
called upon to vote get out
and do so.
