I see some freshly ploughed fields around, too. News items seem to be very scarce ---guess everyone's too busy to do much socializing. If you have any news of in- terest, please give me a call. People who have moved from the com- munity are especially interested in happenings here. One social event which attracted many people from the area was a reception for Mr. and Mrs. Ron Keys at the Pineridge on Saturday night. They were married recently in London. Don't forget the Township Recreation Dance to be held Saturday evening at Hully-Gully. This is the Hallowe'en Dance. Dress is optional, but why not come in costume and add to the fun? There will be a prize for the most original costume, as well as prizes for the best couple, a door prize and, lucky draw prizes. Mrs. Florence Elliott is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Roy Elliott in Egmondville. Weekend visitors with Bob and Gwynne Roberts and Jessica were Phil and Pat Madden and baby daughter Becky of Brantford. Bill and Joyce Dowson and family attended Londesboro Church anniversary on Sunday, and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson McClure and family. Barry and Pat Taylor and family visited with Mr,. and Mrs. Dave Hutton and family of Listowel on Sunday. Hallett Happenings .,. Grade 7 trip On Wednesday, October 18, the grade seven class went to Toronto. In Toronto they went to the Royal Ontario Museum. There they saw different native tribes and some of their artifacts. They also saw how archaeologists find different artifacts and how they get their theories. The pupils thought the trip to be very educational. Grade 5 trip On Thursday, October 12, the grade five class took a trip to Mr. Shad- dick's pond. They left the school at 1:30 and returned in time to load the buses. While at the pond, they collected bugs, water animals and put them in jars. The purpose for this trip was that they are studying pond life in science. Pictures Tom Morris from Wild Studios took pictures of all the classes. He took Kindergarten One's picture on Friday, October 13 and the rest on Monday, October 16. Mr. Morris took class, family and individual pictures.
