Reading the lesson for the service was Mrs. Sarah Storey. Canon F.H. Paull was in charge of the service. The ladies of the ACW of St. James Church wish to say they are not having a sale as stated by error in last week's paper. The ladies are asked to help Mrs. Gonie with the Town and Country Homemakers rummage sale in November. We of St. James church wish to offer Mrs. Clarence Perdue a hearty thank you for the flowers for our church altar. Sorry to report Mrs. Margaret Hudie is a patient in Clinton Hospital. Get well wishes go out to her. Congratulations to Alvin and Phyllis Wise on their 25th anniversary held recently. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wise spent the weekend with their daughter and son-in- law, Pat and Bob Hodgins near Brampton. Mr. and Mrs. Case Brand attended the Dairy Princess night at White Carnation with their daughters Diane and Jackie. Bluegrass at Blyth, Those who like folk or bluegrass music will have an excellent op- portunity for enjoyment Sunday night when a topflight concert comes to Memorihl Hall, Blyth. The concert is spon- sored by CKNX FM Sterio 102 and the Blyth Centre for the Arts and will feature the popular bluegrass band, The Dixie Flyers who per- formed at Memorial Hall last spring. The Flyers are one of the top bluegrass bands in Ontario and have a popular following in many areas. Also on hand for the concert will be Dublin - area recording artist Bob Burchill. Mr. Burchill has performed his blend of folk and country music across Ontario and as far away as Sweden. His album, Will I Ever Get to Heaven, has been widely praised by music critics. The third act on the bill is , Barb Banfield of London who has con- nections with Bluegrass music. The concert will be taped for later broadcast on FM 102. Tickets for the show are available at the door on the night of the performance.
