October 7 when Charles
John Snell and Sharon
Anne Brodie exchanged
wedding vows in a double
ring ceremony.
Charles is the eldest
son of Mr. and Mrs.
James Snell, RR 1,
Clinton and Sharon is the.
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Don Brodie, Brucefield,
The altar was
decorated in a
Thanksgiving theme. The
candelabrum was
trim: led with Autumn
leas ; and wheat and
cinanimon colored rib-
bon. Wicker baskets filled
with pumpkins, gourds,
Indian corn and bit-
ters'.veet completed the
setting.

Dorothy McGregor
presided at the organ for
the ceremony.
The bride, given in
marriage by -her father,
was dressed in a floor -
length gown of silky white
polyester. The gown was
trimmed with appliques
of lace and'sprinkled with
Pearls. The fitted bodice
led to a sweep skirt and
attached train. The bride
wore a matching cap and
veil and carried a
cascade bouquet of coral
roses and white heather,
sent from Scotland by her
great aunt.
The matron of honor,
Mrs. Marie Fitzsimmons
of Bayfield, wore a floor -
length gown of coral
polyester knit. It featured
a pleated skirt and was
topped with a matching
capelet. She carried a
wicker basket of coral
silk flowers and baby's
breath.
Dressed identically to
the matron of honor was
the groom's sister,
Margarite Snell; Mrs.
Helen Westrsa, friend of
the bride from Chatham;
the bride's sisters, Mrs.
Debra Paton of Mt. Elgin
and Sally Brodie of
Brucefield.
The best man was
Harris Snell of Lon-
desboro and the ushers

and the guests out of the
church following the
ceremony.
For a dinner at the
church hall the bride's
mother wore a two-piece
grey dress with grey
accessories and a cor-
sage of silk roses. The
groom's mother wore a
brown and white dotted
sheer dress, wore brown
accessories and a gar-
denia corsage.
Alvin Bettles acted as
the master of ceremonies
for the toasts. A dance
followed in the Hensall
Community Hall.
For her going away
outfit the bride wore a
burgundy corduroy
blazer, a rose colored
blouse and rose,
burgundy and beige skirt.
She wore black ac-
cessories and a gardenia
corsage.
Following a honeymoon
in Jamaica, the couple
will reside at the groom's
farm at RR 1, Clinton.
Guests coming from a
distance for the wedding
arrived from Calgary,
Ottawa, Saginaw, Unian
Lake, Kitchener, London
and Chatham.
Prior to the wedding,
Sharon was honored by
friends and fellow
workers at Saginaw with
a dinner party and a
presentation. A com-
munity shower was held
at the Bayfield Upited
Church and a shower was
held at the home of Marie
Fitzsimmons in Bayfield
for friends and relatives,
