Mr. and Mrs. Allan Merner of Waterloo visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Merner, Sandy, Julie, Michael and Shelley. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dimaline, Don, Peter, and David and Mr. Carl Uhler of Walton spent Thanksgiving weekend in Hamilton visiting with their friends and family, and attending an engagement party for their daughter, Trudy Dimaline to Ken Allen. There was about 45 in attendance. Thanksgiving Day visitors with Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson, Sharon and Bob were Mr. and Mrs. Terence Hunter of Colborne Township. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Thompson of Oakville visited Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thompson and Leisa. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Stevenson of Tillsonburg, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Herman of Shakespeare were Thanksgiving Day supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stevenson, David, Darren and Luanne. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Mitchell, Jennifer and Robert of Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tardella Christopher of Mississauga, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Dempsey, Jamie and Christina and Mr. Jim Buchanan all of 'Whitby were Thanksgiving weekend visitors with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Don Buthanan, Paul and Gary. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Southgate, Jennifer and Sean spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Don McGregor. Mr. Archer Baldwin of Coboconk ,and friends Mr. and Mrs. Frend of Poole England - visited with Mrs. W.L. Whyte Bill and F Mr. Harold Whyte. Mrs. J. Merner of Kitchener and her friend, Yvonne were Friday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Merner, Sandy, Julie, Michael and Shelly. Mr. and Mrs. Ron , Herman and Korey of Stratford, Mr. Wayne Herman and Sandra Ramsbottom of Toronto were Sunday supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stevenson, David, Darren and Luanne, to celebrate David's "10th birthday. Sandy Merner, Lisa Preszcator and Jane Anderson attended a birthday party on Saturday for Lori Brandon on the occasion of her 9th birthday. Congratulations are extended to Bryan and Brenda Wilkinson on the birth of a daughter Rebecca Elizabeth on Oct. 12 in Seaforth Community Hospital. All ladies are invited to Ladies Night which will be held Monday Oct. 23 and foresters dance on Saturday October 21 in the Seaforth Legion. There will be a Hallowe'en Party, Saturday evening, Oct. 28 at 7:30 at the hall, in- vitation extended to all the children in the community. Mrs. Finlay Perrin of London spent the weekend with Mrs. W.L. Whyte and Bill and Mr. Harold Whyte. • The readers write letters Dear Editor In regards to the steam train that ran from Stratford to Clinton last Saturday. It left Stratford at 12:30 p.m. and did not arrive at' Clinton until 2:45 p.m. It went straight to the Y turn around and went right back to Stratford. It did not stop so the crowd could get pictures of it. They had better make better arrangements tile next time so the crowd has more tithe to ge,t pictures of it.
