GNIB to celebrate 60th
The CNIB, founded in
1918, is celebrating its
Diamond Jubilee this
year.
Throughout its 60
years, the organization
has steadily expanded the
services which it
provides for blind per-
sons. For example, as a
result of a survey of the
CNIB National News - a
news leaflet for yersons
with impaired vision -
this publication will now
appear in large type. In
the first issue, samples of
four different sizes and
styles of type were
shown, and readers were
asked to indicate their
preference, and advise
the CNIB of their choice.
The results of this survey
will help the printers in
their final selection of the
type for this publication.
.In Clinton and the
turrounding area, the
.annual fund-raising
campaign for CNIB for
1978 will take place
during the third and
fourth weeks of October.
On October 17, the Clinton
Kinsmen will carry out
their part of the canvass,
and on October 24, the
Clinton,. Lions Club
members hope to com-
plete the canvass. The
CNIB is deeply indebted
to these two service clubs
for their assistance in
previous campaigns and
anticipates a generous
response to the can-
vassers for the Golden
Jubilee campaign.
