She was 88. Wife of the late Terry Milton Taylor, she is survived by Delbert R. Taylor and Milton L. Taylor, Exeter, Ivan R.D. Taylor, Kitchener, Frederick J. Taylor Clinton; Mrs. Harry (Melba) Walper„Exeter, Mrs. William ,'Verna) Gibbings, Clinton; 18 grandchildren and 15 gre at -grandchildren. Two daughters, two sons, two brothers and two sisters predeceased. The funeral service held from the Bonthron Funeral Home, Hensall, Friday, September 22 was con- ducted by Rev. Grant Mills. Burial was in Baird's Cemetery. Amber Lodge drapes charter Mrs. Maggie Campbell, Noble Grand presided for the meeting of Amber Rebekah 14odge on Wednesday ev'eing assisted by 'the Vice Grand Mrs. Pearl Eyre. The charter was draped in memory of the late Sister Daphne Kenealey, past president of the Rebekah Assem- bly. Mrs. Isobel Rogerson presided at the piano in the •absence of Mrs. Evelyn Mac Beat. Mrs. Dorothy Corbett and Mrs. Bertha MacGregor will canvass for the Blind. On Wednesday October 4, District Deputy President Sister Kathleen Cuthill and her installing staff from Idelweiss Rebekah Lodge will be present and install the officers of Amber Rebek- ch Lodge . The social committee for the meeting will be Sister Maggie Campbell, Dorothy Parker, Bertha MacGregor and Vera Smale. Personals Mr. Earl McEwen of Guelph visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hensall 4-H elects officers By Hilda Payne Hensall III, 4H Club, held their first meeting on Monday, September 18 at the home of their leader, Betty Beer. The course is- 'Essential Edibles'. Officers were elected as follows: president, Barbara Stratton; vice- president, Linda Roberts; treasurer, Lisa Hamather; secretary, floating; press reporter, Susan Luther; assistant leader, Joan McLellan. Other members are Robin McLellan, Susie Neilands, Vicky Mann, Rebecca'Jantzi. Everybody pitched in and made granola and each girl is to make it again at home; metric measurements were used. Books were handed out and lesson one Was completed: Sales Barn Demand at the Hensall Livestock Sales was active again with higher prices; supply consisted mainly of heifers and steers. Fat cattle: heifers, $61,50-$65.50, sales to $68.50; steers, $64,50-$68, sales to $69; cows, $45.50-$4925. Pigs: weanlings $27-$40; feeder pigs $43.50-$54.50. Michigan for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Rychman of Michigan visited with Mrs. Tom Sherritt over the weekend. McEwen. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Allison of Toronto visited this week with Mrs. Allison's brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Joe Flynn. St. Paul's Church ACW The final meeting of St. Paul's Anglican church ACW was held on, - Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Annie Reid. The president, Mrs. Frank Forrest opened the meeting with the Members prayer, and Mrs. C. Forrest read the Scripture. Mrs. Roberts gave the Meditation and everyone took part in the Litany. The roll call was an- swered with a verse "Harvest for Thanksgiving". Mrs. Anderson gave the Study Book Colossians Chapter 1. Plans were discussed for the final church service on Sunday af- ternoon. Rev. G.A. Anderson closed the meeting with prayer. Hensall personal notes By Bertha MacGregor Mr. and Mrs. Geo Walz of Stratford were weekend visitors with Mrs. Agnes Madge. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Adkins and Mr. and Mrs. John Soldan. Mr. Edward T. Berry, Windsor, called on his cousin, Mr. and Mrs. John Soldan and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hoffman, Dashwood last week. Miss Jane Hancock of Toronto visited this week with Mrs. Edgar Munn. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Peebles and Ivor of London visited this week with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sangster and Brad. Presbyterian news Dr. Fox of London was in charge of the service at Carmel Presbyterian Chur"dh on Sunday. Mrs. Robert Taylor presided at the organ and led the choir in singing "Trusting Jesus'. Kenneth Knight of Rose Town, Sask. Mrs. McDougall passes Mrs. Maude (Drover) McDougall passed away in Hensall, Saturday September 23, 1978 in her 88th year. She was the wife of the late Alex McDougall and mother of John, RR I, Hensall, and Lloyd, Exeter. One sister Miss Isobel Drover, Hensall also survives. She was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters. The funeral service was held from the Bon- thron Funeral Home on Tuesday September 26 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. John B. Fox officiating. Interment was in Staffa Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ken Williams, Floyd Stewart, Jim Burke, William Lamport, Ed Alexander and Otto Walker. First the bad news The subscription rates and newsstand price for Clinton News Record will be increased effec- tive Oct. 2, 1978. The increase is due to increased costs; larger papers causing higher postage; and other rising production costs. The change in the newsstand price will be from 30° to 35°. Part of this increase will go to the boys delivering News Record and to the newsstand vendors. Harold Snell of Exeter, with Mrs. Mary Moffatt at the organ. As an anthem, the choir, led by Mrs. Marianne McCaffrey, sang, "God reveals His presence" unaccompanied. Rev. Snell preached on the subject "Where does God dwell?” Flowers on either side of the pulpit were in memory of Ray Pater- son, placed there in loving memory by his family. Next Sunday, im- mediately following the 11 a.m. service, both Chislehurst and Hensall congregations will meet to deal with the. acquisition of a supply minister. The sacrament of Holy Communion will' be held for both congregations at 11 a.m. in the Hensall church.
