Resource centre workshops
On September 30 there
will be a communications
workshop at the Vanastra
Recreation Centre. The
coordinator for this
workshop will be Mr. Don
Graff from Kitchener.
During this workshop,
you will have an op-
portunity to experience
actual communication
exercises, discuss
relevant issues or
communication problems
you experience, either
your group or
organization or com-
munity.
This is the first in a
series of planned
workshops, co-sponsored
by the Vanastra
Resource Centre and
Tuckersmith Township
Council. The workshops
will deal with leadership
skills, better com-
munication between
community groups, how
to encourage par-
ticipation in groups. and
organizations, making
better use of available
resources, executive
roles and committees and
power base and how to
use it.
If you are interested in
taking advantage of this
opportunity on Sep-
tember 30, you can call
the Vanastra Resource
Centre at 482-7972.
Registration fees are $2
for teenagers and $3.50
for adults. A lunch will be
served. The workshop
will run from 9:30 - 4:30
Saturday.
The Vanastra Resource
Centre is presently
looking for a new
Recreation Worker. Any
interested applicants
with experience in this
field call 482-7972 for an
appointment.
Story Hour has started
for another season with a
planned program of
games, songs and crafts.
This . is for preschool
children and also kin-
dergarten children are
welcome to attend. That
will be this Saturday at 1
pm.
Community association
opens nominations
Monday Sept. 25th•1978,
was nominations night
for the Community
Association's Executive.
The elections will be held
Tuesday; October 10 at the
Recreation Centre.
