Two tractors and plows graced the church lawns on Sunday to set the mood for the International Plowing Match church service. Many of the dignitaries from the upcoming match joined the regular congregation in the morning worship. (News -Record photo) This week at the Legion By Rene Brochu • Our attendance draw went untouched at last Friday night's drawing as Gary Black had failed to ' register during the week. Comrade Laura Anstett was the lucky winner of the raffle prize and went home with a delicious treat. Our TGIF was a great financial success and as the fall season approaches, more and more of our regular patrons are now coming out. To those who came late and didn't eat much, we say sorry, we'll try and do better next Friday. Our entertainment chairman Harvey Hayter was x pleased with the attendance at the social last Saturday evening. The Royalaires provided us with fine dance music all evening, and our raffle prize went to one of the Band members. Our thanks to Comrade Harvey • and his en- tertainment committee for a very pleasant evening. Our guests from Calgary and, Scotland thoroughly enjoyed the evening, Barn dance set for Brussels The time is drawing near when Huron County will be hosting the International Plowing Match near Wingham. Just sothat everyone throughout the area is able to get in the spirit, a big attraction to be staged is the CKNX BARN DANCE AND REUNION AND BROADCAST to be held in the new Grey, Morris and Brussels Community Complex in Brussels, Saturday evening, September 23rd, 1978 beginning at 8:00 p.m. More than thirty of the original Barn Dance members will be on stage to entertain you with a show, followed by a dance.
