One of those Persons is designated in the New Testament as "the Father." He is referred to as "The Father -of spirits" in Hebrews 12:9. In Ephesians 5:20 we read, "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father." The Lord Jesus Christ said, "I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God and your God." John 20:18. Another Person of the divine trinity is called the Son of God. In many ways His full deity is declared and demonstrated in the Bible. In the Old Testament when His birth was prophesied, it was also declared that His name would be called "The mighty .God," Isaiah 9:6. An example in the New Testament is in I Timothy 2:10 where He is called "God our Saviour." See also verse 13 The other Person of the Trinity is the Holy Spirit. He is called God in Acts 5:3,4. He has the qualities of God, I Corinthians 2:9-11. He performs the works of God. Acts 20:28. All three Persons are grouped together and named separately in Matthew 28:19, "baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit," and also in II Corinthians 13:14.
