am. Audrey Middleton
read the lesson, and

Misty and new baby.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry

Several ladies of St,

were happy with the
results of .. their ticket
selling at the Bayfield
Fair and wish to thank
everyone.
Marnie Middleton
recently returned.from a
four day hike. on 'the
Bruce Trail from
Tobermory to Crystal
Lake. Although their
packs were heavy and the
trail very rugged, the
breathtaking beauteous
country made it a
memorable occasion.
It was interesting to
note that there were more
American hikers on the
trail than Canadians and
yes, although prepared
for snake bites, they
didn't see any rattlers.
First farmer
The first settler to
make his living from
farming in Canada was
Louis Hebert, who in 1617
cleared land near Quebec
City . and grew grain,
pumpkins and beans.
