News from MVCA
The Maitland Con-
servation Foundation
received its charter on
September 23, 1975. This
registered charitable
organization has been
established to initiate and
continue conservation
programs that could not
normally be undertaken
by the Authority because
of lack of funds.
Authority projects are
funded partially by an-
nual assessment ' of
member municipalities,
based on the land area
contained within the
managed watershed. The
balance of funds for
conservation programs is
provided by the
Provincial Government.
The Maitland Valley
Conservation Authority is
responsible for an area
with a low , population
density. As a result,
municipal funds are very
limitecVcompared to the
scope of the problems
that must be dealt with.
Thus, greatly needed
projects must be
neglected.
Through personal
donations of money or
land, an individual can
help to achieve the aims
of the Authority's
program and aid in the
continuation of en-
vironmental protection
programs now in
existence.
All donations and
bequests can be deducted
as charitable gifts under
income tax regulations
and are also viewed
under estate tax and
succession duty
regulations. Donations
may be designated for
special projects of in-
terest to the donor. A

TRUTH
The Bible claims to be the Word of God and supports
that claim with abundant evidence which has convinced
many who had been skeptical.
The Bible in its historical Sequence begins with the
creation of the present world and concludes with the
creation of new heavens and a new earth.
The Bible and Jesus Christ are comparable in many
ways. Both have a combination of human and super-
natural qualities. Both are supernatural in origin,
presenting an inscrutable and perfect blending of that
which is divine and that which is human. They both
exercise a transforming power over those who believe.
They are both allowed of God to 'be rejected and
mocked by those who do not believe.
