TQm Allen, Lon- desboro; John Hessel, Goderich; Bert Mahhafy, Staffa; Jamie Caldwell, Hensall and Murray East, Clinton were all top shooters at the Vanastra Gun Club's trap shoot on August 15 with perfect scores of 25 each. Bill Boussey, London followed in second place with 24 hits and coming in third were Mery Batkin, Clinton; Jerry Zehr, Zurich; Jack Mills, Guelph; Dan Crerar, Hensall, all with 23 hits apiece. Harrison Schock, Zurich and Paul Giles, London each finished with 22, while Fred Brall of Holmesville, Glen Mogk of Bornholm and Kippen Gun Club results Jamie Caldwell of Kippen was the lone perfect scorer at the Kippen Gun Club trap shoot with 25 hits. Bert Mahaffy of Staffa and John Anderson of Kippen followed in second place with 24 hits while Mery Baktin of Clinton and Dan Crerar of Hensall finished in third place with 23. They visited with relatives and friends near Kendal, England. and Rothesay, Scotland which is on an island in the Firth of Clyde, western Scotland. The folks from Kendal are planning a trip to Canada next year. Since, the Murrays returned they have spent several days camping at Parry Sound. Dave Cyr of Zurich both finished with 21. At the Vanastra skeet shoot held on August 19, Bill McNutt of Exeter finished in top place with a perfect score of 25. Following in second place Seaforth couple win at Banker's Tourney Despite late afternoon rain, 16 lawn bowling teams filled the eight greens at the Clinton course for the annual Banker's Tournament. Sponsored by the local banks, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Brady of Seaforth came away as the first winners with three wins and a total score of 43. They received a prize in silver dollars, donated by the Credit Union. Art and Isobel Colson of Clinton finished in second place with three wins and a total score of 37. Their silver dollar prize was given by the Royal Bank. Allan McKay and partner of Wingham had two wins and an aggregate score of 44 for a third prize given by the Bank of Montreal. The fourth prize was donated by the Bank of Montreal as well, to Mr. and Mrd, Reg Robinson who finished with two wins and a total score of 36, , over plus three. Lee Ryan and Marg Allison of Goderich finished in fifth place with two wins and a total score of 36.
