Helpful Hints
When cooking
macaroni, add a small
amount of oil, shortening
or butter to water and it
won't boil over.
Rub a little lard over
the crack in the egg and it
will seal the shell.
To scald milk without
scorching it on the bottom
of the pan, rinse the pan
with hot water before
using it.
Before stirring raisins
' into a cake, roll them in
flour to prevent them
from going to the bottom.
Butter for baking is
fluffier if a little flour is
dusted over it before
beating.
