New business opened
We would like to
°welcome a new business
and family to Vanastra.
Mr. and Mrs. Garry
Hovius will be managing
the Vanastra New and
Used Home Furnishings.
They located the
business here because of
its central location and
the fact that there was no
similar business in the
near area. The location of
the building is on High-
way 4 which will attract
travellers going to and
from the Clinton area.
They carry a selection
of both new and used
furniture. The new fur-
niture is purchased all
over the Toronto area,
They also have a selec-
tion of new and used
appliances to choose
from and will accept
trade-ins.
They ,have lawn or-
naments and planters
placed in an attractive
'setting which can be
viewed from the high-
way. They sell on a walk-
in basis using the motto
"Everything is For
Sale."
They are open six days
a week - Monday to
Saturday - from 8 am to
10 pm.
Jacob Thalen from
Listowel is the owner of
the business. He is also
the owner of Listowel
Second Hand Store which
his sons are now
operating.

• Helpful Hints
If a postage stamp
doesn't have enough
mucilage on the back, run
it over the moistened flap
of an envelope, and
quickly place it on the
letter to be mailed.
To remove a stamp
from an envelope, put a
bit of wet blotting paper
or cloth over the stamp,
and press with a hot iron.
If stamps are stuck
together put a bit of dry
paper over them, press
with a warm iron, and
they will come apart
easily.
Re -open a sealed en-
velope without ripping it
by laying a damp cloth or
wet blotting paper over
the flap, and press with a
want' iron. •
