The parade was led by piper Bob Bremner of Ethel with parade marshah, Jim Jamieson. Other members were present from Palmer- ston, Listowel, Wallace, Cranbrook, Trowbridge, Benmiller, Constance and Londesboro. Rev. Stan McDonald, High Chaplain for the Foresters conducted the service and spoke on the theme, "You really can't go it alone." He stressed the need that each person has for the other and none of us has to go it alone with God. Mrs. Harry Lear was organist and Mrs. Tom Cronin was the soloist. Flagbearers were. UCW The Aimwell Unit of the UCW met on 'Monday evening, July 17 at the home of Ferne,McClure. President Audrey Thompson opened the meeting with a poem and a reading which was followed by a prayer. Gail Lear reported on her recital collection and the birthday pennies received. Ferne McClure was in charge of the July program.Sev. McDonald led in prayer and a hymn„ was sung. Audrey Thomspon read a poem 'and John Lawson and Bob Jamieson played guitar duets. Mrs, McClure in- troduced her nephew, Darryl Ball, who showed films on Australia and New Zealand and told about his trip. Mrs. McClure presented him with a gift. Following the benediction lunch was served by Mary Peal, Ora Bruce and June Fothergill. United Church Welcoming into the sanctuary were Lloyd Pipe and Nelson McClure. McDonald gave a children's story and -the junior teachers were Mary Peel and Ruthann Penfound. Personals Mrs. Orville Newby was admitted to University Hospital in London on Sunday for tests. Mr. Jim Scott Sr. returned home on Thursday after- spending a week in the Clinton Public Hospital. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Scott are his brother Mr, and Mrs. Bill Scott of Escondido, California. Mr. and Mrs. John Pollard and Sally spent , last weekend at Lake ReStoule with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Pollard. Sally remained for a week. Clare Vincent and Harry Tebbutt attended the Grand Lodge sessions at the Royal Y'ork Hotel, Toronto last week. Ronald Vodden of Thomspon, Manitoba visited on Saturday, July 22 with his aunt Mr. and Mrs. Bert Shobbrook, his uncles Ken Vodden and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vodden. Mr. and Mrs, Allen Shaddick returned home on Saturdby night from a trip. to the eastern coast for two weeks. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Shaddick. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Penfound spent past week holidaying at Fanshawe Park and visited with Mrs. Olive Penfound at Victoria Hospital, London. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Hunking, Mr, and Mrs. Tom Duizer, Laurel, Lisa, Stephen and Shannon returned home on Friday after spending three weeks travelling to Victoria, B.C. Mrs. Marion Hunking- and Ken, returned home on Friday from a two week trip to the east coast. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shobbrook, Diane, Bradley along with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lyon, Cheryl, Mr. and Mrs. jlenry Wilts and family spent Sunday at Collingwood. Mrs. June Fothergill, Heather and Nancy at- tended a family picnic, and shower at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Palmer, Strathroy. The shower was held in honor of Carol Bender, bride elect in September. Patricia Millson of Woodstock and Doris e Ellerby of Clinton spent the weekend with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Shobbrook.
