Foresters gather in Londesboro for church para

- The annual Canadian
Foresters' church parade
was held in the church on
Sunday afternoon, with a
good turnout.
The parade was led by
piper Bob Bremner of
Ethel with parade
marshah, Jim Jamieson.
Other members were
present from Palmer-
ston, Listowel, Wallace,
Cranbrook, Trowbridge,
Benmiller, Constance
and Londesboro.
Rev. Stan McDonald,
High Chaplain for the
Foresters conducted the
service and spoke on the
theme, "You really can't
go it alone." He stressed
the need that each person
has for the other and none
of us has to go it alone
with God.
Mrs. Harry Lear was
organist and Mrs. Tom
Cronin was the soloist.
Flagbearers were. Mary

Trowbridge and Mac
McIntosh of Listowel.
Following the service
the members and
families were invited to

ceremony, the guests
were received in the
church fellowship hall.
For the occasion, the
bride's mother greeted
guests wearing a floor
length gown of pale green
with a matching long
sleeved eyelet jacket and
a oink rosebud corsage.
The groom's mother
chose an iced blue sata
peau gown com.,

The Aimwell Unit of the
UCW met on 'Monday
evening, July 17 at the
home of Ferne,McClure.
President Audrey
Thompson opened the
meeting with a poem and
a reading which was
followed by a prayer. The
roll call was answered'
with, "a Sunday School
teacher or leader you
remember."
Vi Burns gave the
treasurer's report and
the June minutes were
read by June Fothergill.
Gail Lear reported on her
recital collection and the
birthday pennies
received.
The September roll call
will ask for an article you
have mSde.The lunch
committee will be made
up of Marion Snell,
Marion Hunking and
Kathy McKellar: June
Fothergill, Mary Peel
and Ora Bruce are in
charge oftheprogram.
Ferne McClure was in
charge of the July

was sung. Audrey

Bob Jamieson played
guitar duets.
Mrs, McClure in-
troduced her nephew,
Darryl Ball, who showed
films on Australia and
New Zealand and told
about his trip. Mrs.
McClure presented him
with a gift.

benediction lunch was
served by Mary Peal, Ora
Bruce and June
Fothergill.
United Church
Welcoming into the
sanctuary were Lloyd
Pipe and Nelson
McClure. The" ushers

Diane Bromley, Ruthann
Penfound and Susan
Jamieson.

Thorton of Exeter, ac-

University Hospital in
London on Sunday for
tests.
Mr. Jim Scott Sr.
returned home on

a week in the Clinton
Public Hospital.

Scott of Escondido,
California.
Mr. and Mrs. John
Pollard and Sally spent

on Saturdby night from a
trip. to the eastern coast
for two weeks. They were

Penfound at Victoria
Hospital, London.

on Friday after spending
three weeks travelling to
