Midget boys win
Sunny weather again
this week allowed all
games to be played.
Monday night Ben -
miller defeated the Pee
Wee Boys "B” team who
were lacking their pit-
cher. The "A" team sat
this, week out. The Midget
boys both came away
victorious with the "A"
team winning at Auburn
and the "B" team win-
ning at Londesboro.
Tuesday night the girls
didn't do so well.
Holmesville Pee Wees
last nut to Benmiller,
while our Midgets lost a
close game to Londesboro
"a". Audrey Van den
Heuvel did her best by
slamming in three home
runs. Karen Jantzi had
the misfortune of being
injured in the game. We
all wish her well.
Wednesday night- the
Tykes played Benmiller
and were defeated by.
their "a" team.
Schedules will be
rounding up the end of
July and playoffs are to
start the first of August.
Festival well underway
On Friday, July 7, the
Blyth Summer Festival
opened its fourth season
to a near -capacity crowd
with The Huron Tiger,"by
Peter Colley. In keeping
with the Scottish theme of
the play, the audience
was greeted by• a
bagpiper in full regalia.
After the show, there was
a demonstration of
square dancing.
Tuesday, July 11, saw
the opening of the
Festival's second play,
His Own Boss, by Keith
Roulston. The play, the
story of a man who
inherits a cheese factory
and complications that
ensue, was followed
wine and cheese party for
the cast and audience.
Audience response to
both plays has been
•
excellent, and advance
sales for both The Huron
Tiger and His Own Boss
have been brisk.
The Festival has also
announced the director
for its fifth play, Two
Miles Off. Brian Rintoul,
originally from Mitchell,
Ontario, has behind him
an impressive list of
credits, including
Theatre Calgary, the
Banff School of Fine Arts,
Alberta Theatre
Projects, and Saidye
Bronfman Theatre in
Montreal. Two Miles Off
opens on August 23.
Due to technical dif-
ficulties, the air con-
ditioning system was not
in operation for opening,
but is now in the process
of being installed, and
will be ready by July 19.

hired a contractor to add an aluminum
extension to my kitchen. He was supposed
to get a work permit and told me that he had
obtained one but, after the work started, • a
stop work order was issued and the con-
tractor has disappeared.
The fault was yours because you con-
tracted for an aluminum porch, not an
extended kitchen, then apparently you
.contacted another contractor who tore out
the back wall of your house, making the
porch an extension, not a porch, all this. of
course was NOT on the work permit.
However it now seems that all 'is well, as
the right work permit has been issued so
that your contractors can now go "full
speed ahead."

We immigrated here from the U.K. last
July. We shipped our goods via an overseas
service in England, but when our stuff
arrived we discovered that two of our boxes
were missing. They were traced to South
Africa and we assured that they would be
sent to us Air Freight. Well, that's a year
ago now and we're still waiting.
The English company has finally in-
formed us that you •have at last received
your missing boxes. They are full of
apologies and claim that the delay was due
to their South African Agent. They said that
they had offered you a cash settlement
some time ago, but that you had refused
because you claimed that your goods were
very personal and had a lot of sentimental
value.

Last Christmas I bought my son a toy.
race track set. Well it was no good because
the rails wouldn't join together. The store
where I bought it told me to send it to the
manufacturers, Aurora Products. This '1
did, last January, but still nothing has been
done! I've written and told them to refund
my money but this demand too has been
ignored.
Can IMPACT help me, please?
It seems that our reader's set was
inadvertently set aside by an employee who
was supposed to test the repaired track.
Well apparently he just, "up and quit",
2 ny notice.
' it has now been located, tested,
t its way to our long awaiting
ong with Aurora's apologies.
