Harold Snell with' Richard Fujarczuk at the organ and Mrs. Marianne McCaffrey as choir director. • Guest soloist was Mrs. Marguerite McLeod who sang, "Beside the Green Pastures". Rev. Snell preached on being "a citizen of Canada" reading from Paul's declaration of citizenship in the Acts. He stressed our country, the, - involvements of citizenship, democracey, and the greatest privilege of all, religion. By glorifying God we become citizens of heaven. Next Sunday, the Rev. Wareham of Exeter will be reaching in Hensall. Personals Mrs. Larry McAuley is a patient in the Alexandra Marine Hospital, Goderieh. John. Paul Neilands is home from Edmonton for two weeks and is visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Neilands. A family picnic was held at their house over the weekend to greet him. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Merritt . and Gregory h,ve returned to their home in Poway, California after visiting with friends relatives in St. Thomas, Cleveland and the surrounding areas, as well as Hensall, Mr. and Mrs.. John McGuire and family. of Erin and Mr. and Mrs. David Russell of Did- denden, Kent, England have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. James. Robinson, Brian and Derek have returned to Hensall again and have taken up residence in the apartment" over William's Hairstyling on King Street. Clinton man heads Douglas Cantel'on Douglas W. Cantelon, 37, of Clinton, has been elected district deputy grand master of Huron District No. 8 , of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Brother .Cantelon, a member of Clinton Lodge No. . 83 since. • 1961, received his commission from the grand master, Brother Harry Noels of Forest, at the Ontario Grand Lodge sessions in Toronto on June 14. .' district deputy grand master, his duties Are to act as the representative of Grand Lodge in matters relating to the working of the Order and to have general supervision over all Odd Fellow Lodges in his District. Donna Gibbing, opened the meetin with a reading "Y ur Job" followed by the creed and Lord's Prayer. Twenty- six members answered roll call by telling holiday plans. Thank-you's were received from Clinton Hospital Women's Auxiliary, Bluewate: Centre, Children's Aid' and Bunny Bundle, The nominating committee gave the new slate of " officers as follows: president, Sandra Westerhout; first vice,, Gladys Van Egmond; second vice, Margaret Wright; secretary,' Phyllis Tyndall; treasurer, Lorna Ellis; buying committee, Olive Neal, Edith Wright, Lorna Ellis; card committee, Hazel Watkins; quilt zehrs committee, Marianne Colclough,' Isabelle Stewart. The next meeting will be held at the home of Ev. Merrill on July 12 and roll call will be. to wear something orange. Lunch and program are in charge of Gladys Van Egmond, Jean Vodden and Sue Vodden.
