Miss Gorman served until recently as artistic director of The Press Theatre in St. Catharines. She has worked as guest director for the Arts and Culture Centre in St. Johns, Newfoundland, where she staged such productions as Ibsen's "Doll's House" and at Theatre Sudbury she directed "Streetcar Named Desire. As an actress Miss Gorman has played coast to coast in such distinguished shows as "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" at the National Arts Centre, "The Killing of Sister George" at Theatre Calgary and "Tiny Alice" at The Citadel. "Two Below" is a comedy by George R. Robertson, author of 'The Dawson Patrol', a CBC feature film (re -run last week on CFPL, London). 'The Dawson Patrol' was nominated for an ACTRA Award and has been sold to a number of foreign networks. The new comedy is being given , its first performances at the Playhouse and will be performed Tuesday, July 25 through Saturday, July 29. .ommenced their lives Lnew in the roll of narriage. Saturday was ohe busy Jay for the staff, as not )nly did they have to :lean up after the wed - Jing reception and set up ror the June social, but also the lower lounges were filled to capacity with nines and drums from the band. It cer- tainly kept them hopping. Thanks to. my staff for a job well done. The social Saturday night was poorly attended as once again we ask our members for their support. The music was .superb as the "Music Makers" again supplied the best in dance music. It was the last social planned until the fall season. One can't help but wonder WHY such poor attendance at all the socials we've had so far this year. I suppose we'll keep wondering and never know. First Monster Bingo a success for many players Some 272 people, young and old alike with the main ambition to have some fun and win a bit, or even a lot of money, arrived at the' Clinton arena Monday evening when the first monster bingo got underway. The crowd was down only slightly from last year's opening night. A local woman, Heather Hart of Clinton came away as the big winner of the evening with the $1,000 bingo. In other specials Mark Barke of Michigan won $141; Phyllis Ryan, Goderich and Lib- by Strong, Clinton split $144.25; Mrs. Lapaine, Goderich took the third special of $146.50. In regular games of $50, individual winners were Edna Fremlin, Clinton; Joyce Marshall, Goderich; Mrs. Ken Anstett, Brussels; Doreen Bradbury, Mitchell, taking two games; Mrs. Frank Boyce, Varna; Bev Nivins, Goderich ; Andrea Daer, Goderich; Phyllis Lee, Clinton; Mildred Swan, Mitchell. Mrs. Morley Willis, Sarnia; Gary Cummings, Clinton; Barb Chapman, Goderich; Judy Dykstra, Bayfield; Jean grown, Goderich and Mr. Bowit, Londesboro split the winnings in one game while Maureen Dun- smore, Vanastra and Pat Shaw, Blyth took $25 each in another. Stella Gautchi, Goderich; J. Campbell, Exeter; Joan Hall, Goderich and' Fred Telford, Bayfield split a game. Splitting the winnings for another game were Blanche Stevenson, Clinton; Judy Dykstra, Bayfield and Betty Ann Graf, Vanastra. Russ Camp- bell,.Mitchell and Sharon Edward, Huron Park took another game. We would like to ex- press our thanks to the entertainment chairman and his committee. Sunday evening saw the celebration of the 25th wedding anniversary, of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dolmage of Mitchell. For those of you who don't know, M'rs. Dolmage is the daughter of Mr• and Mrs. Warren Gibbings of Clinton. Once again our staff should be com- mended for the fine job they did as the an- niversary group were extremely pleased with the services ' rendered. Our Ladies Auxiliary were again superb in the food array they presented to the gathering. Monday night, our Ladies Auxiliary were again on duty as they served the District 45 OSSTF Executive their monthly dinner meeting. WOW! What a hard- working group of ladies. Celebrate 25th anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Ted Oud celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at the Pineridge Chalet on Saturday evening. A family dinner was at- tended by relatives and the family of the guests of honour, followed by a reception and dance with music by Mozart and the Melody Makers. A large number of relatives and friends gathered for the recep- tion and dance. Mrs. Oud was pleasantly surprised when her brother Mr. Jack Dekker arrived from Holland. Also at- tending was her sister, Mrs. Mary Deslippo of Sudbury. Refreshments were served and a social hour enjoyed by all. Presbyterian news Rev.
