On Friday last while Mr. Rich. Pickard,
was unloading scrap iron from a wagon be-
longing tc Mr. Samuel Ford, of Woodham,
at the rear of Mr. James Pickard s premises,
the horse attached to the wagon took fright
at the ringing of the town bell. The ardmal
made a sudden dash, throwing Mr. Pickard
from the rig and gallopped around an or-
chard. until the vehicle came in contact with
