Londesboro holds communion

morning, and welcoming

Bert Shobbrook, while the

Following the call to
worship by Rev.
McDonald, Gospel hymn
sing was held with Louise
McGregor, organist, and
Ruth Shaddick, choir
leader.
The choir anthems
were "Jesus is the Giver"
and "Let's break bread
together on our knees".
Junior congregation
teacher was y Florence
Cartwright.
Rev. McDonald's
message was
"recognition in the
breaking of bread".
Sacrament was served,
and assisting Rev.
McDonald were David
Lear and Ken Pollard.
Serving bread were Earl
Gaunt, Reg Lawson,
Kevin Hulley and
Margaret Whute, while
serving wine were Nick
Whyte, Gordon Shob-
brook, Jack Lee and
Garnet Wright.
The flowers at front of
church were placed in
honour of the marriage of
Bernice flunking and Jim
Norman in the. church on
Saturday and in memory
of Henry Hunking, in
memory of Dorothy
Little. Messengers met in
Sunday school rooms at
10 a.m. with their leader
Brenda Radford.

Mrs. Alice Davidson
and her mother Mrs.
Grace Fairley returned
home on May 26th. Mrs.
Fairley had spent two
and a half weeks with her
daughters, Mr. and Mrs.
Barney Pollock and Mr.
Hullett Field
day held
On Wednesday, May 31,
Hullett held their annual
field day. The students
from grades 1 - 8 took
part in events such as the
track, high-jump,shot-
put, discus, running long -
jump, triple -jump,
standing broad jump and
ball throw.
The champions at the
. end of the day were as
follows: six years and
under, Norris Flynn first,
Drew Allen runner-up;
seven + and eight year-old
boys, Troy Huggard,
Larry Hunking; seven
and eight-year-old girls,
Crystal White, Lorie
Bromley.
In the nine and 10 -year-
olds, the boys' winner
was Darryl Plunkett,
Paul Plunkett; being
runner-up and the girls'
winner being Julie Daer
with Darlene Gulutzen
and Cheryl Bromley tied
for second.
Brian Dale was first in
the eleven -year-old boys
and Donny Allen was
second. In the eleven -
year -4)1d girls, the winner
was Pamela Losereit and
Laurel Duizer was
runner-up. Kent Howalt
was first with Suzanne
Tamblyn as runner-up.
Bruce Hunking placed
first in the 13 -year-old
boys and David Plunkett
second. Lana Lockwood
placed first in the 13 -
year -old girls and Helen
Kolkman was runner-up.
