an anxious time for a while
last Wednesday afternoon
when fire threatened their
buildings. Bill had set fire to a
bag in the field and a bit of
nearby brush caught fire.

truck to a safe distance, the
wind suddenly came up and
blew a spark across the
sideroad, setting fire to the
dry grass and driving it
towards the barn. The
Brucefield Fire department
responded quickly to the call
and soon had everything
under control.
