SCOTT ACT CAsrs.—Police Magistrate Noble
of Strathroy, held a court at Clandeboye yes-
terday morning. There were seven charges
altogether, one against MoFalls, of Limn ;
one against Hodgins, of Liman; three against
Munroe, of Ailsa Craig, and two against
Drought; df,,Ailsa Craig. They all pleaded
guilty of having sold intoxicating liquors, and
were fined :—Hodgins, $50 and $6.10 Costs ;
MoFalls, $50 and $6.10 costs; Munroe, $150
and $18.30 poets; Drought, $120 and 512.23
costs. Everything went off in a very order-
ly manner, although a gond deal of fun was

While, Mr. Michael Dunn, of North Ox-
ford,_ was working a seed chill in his field one
day lately one of the reins caught. and step-
ping on the pole to loosen it, the horses be-
came frightened and ran away, throwing Mr.
Dunn from the drill, which passed over him,
inflicting serious injuries. The teeth of the
drill fractured his lung and out his face bad.

years of age, and this is one of the five seri-
ous mishaps that has befallen him during

horses and once by a bull.

sion lists of the British army the names' of
widows of officers to whom pensions were
granted 70 years ago. Some of those widows
