(News -Record photo by Ashley Geddes) Grant aids township. Stanley Township will receive an Ontario grant of $1,750 to aid in further development work in the township's municipal park. The municipality plans to carry out the removal of brush, construct walkways and undertake other minor development work. Natural Resources Minister Frank S. Miller approved the grant today and said that provincial grants amounting to $23,837 have been awarded toward land purchase, construction of a picnic pavilion, water supply, perimeter fencing, and picnic and beach access facilities. Fashion show fills halt By Rene Brochu Last Wednesday, the auditorium was filled to capacity with ladies and men assembled to witness a Fashion Show sponsored by the Beta. Sigma Phi Ritual of Jewels Chapter, Clinton. Fashions were provided by our local merchants with the Burgess Department Store providing the children's fashions, Campbells Men's Wear providing the merts fashions and the Wedge providing the ladies fashions. Providing the Commentary and co-ordinating the show were Cleo Colquhoun and Joy Lavis and musical interludes were compliments of Paul Lavis. Models were charming and presented the fashions with ease and poise. The children's fashion models were Danielle, Denise, and Nicole Garon, Darrell and Sherri Lavis and Tegan Ross. Men's fashion models were Steve Campbell and Dave Hanley. Ladies' fashion models were Coleen Carlson, Mary -Gail Czaja, Claudia and Janey Eastman, Mary Garon, Shirley Kay, Marie Langdon, Twyla Phillips,. Heather Ross and Fran Sors. boon prizes were provided by Burgess Department Store, Campbells Men's Wear, The Wedge, The Raintree, Clinton Com- mercial Printers, with the floral acsessories by K. C. The bride was beautifully attired with a gown trimmed with marabou and her bouquet adorned with Heather. Guests were from Hamilton, Guelph, Van- couver, Kitchener, St. Thomas, and Georgetown. The presence of Scotland was further evident by the decorative kilts worn by the father .of the bride and his relatives and friends. The head table was piped into position by piper Hugh McLean. The Ladies' Auxiliary again excelled with service of a delicious roast beef dinner which added to the pleasantness of the occasion. Our thanks to cocktail host Milt Schreiber and bartender John Preston for their assistance in making the evening so pleasant for the lovely couple and their guests.
