You'd have thought w,e
were back in the Black Outs
of OLD when last Thursday
evening, apparently for no
special reason, the lights in
the dart room went out. Our
maintenance expert tried to
no avail to correct the
situation while the dart en-
thusiasts sat with dart in
hand awaiting rectification.
We employees did find the
fault but not until the next
morning when the manager
arrived on the scene.
Stan assures -us with
reservation and tongue in
cheek, that the dart room will
never again be in darkness.
The dart numbers are
growing, they even practise
during the week. Our local
sports outlet is doing well in
dart sales.
Don't forget our cribbage
nights, February 15th, and
March 1st. They meet every
other Wednesday, so lets not
forget these dates. Our
microwave oven so
generously donated to us by
the Ladies Auxiliary is doing
well, they say that our sub-
marines, beef on a bun, and
bui-gens are tops, so why not
try one next time you're in.
Last Friday evening, after
the hockey game, we were
pleased to see so many
patrons drop in to the Legion.
Keep up the support
Comrades, your use of the
facilities is essential to the
well being and comradeship
of the branch and the support
of our charitable obligations.
